Affordable Accident Insurance

In Partnership with The National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) and MetLife

Why accident insurance?

Accident insurance pays out a lump sum if you incur specific kinds of injury as a result of an accident. Legally distinct from health insurance, accident insurance allows you to claim benefits even if the injuries you incur do not keep you out of work. Accident insurance may also help cover any medical expenses that your health insurance (if you have any) doesn't cover.

Here is a general list of some of what is typically covered by an accident insurance policy:

  • Injuries: such as fractures, dislocations, concussions, lacerations, eye injuries, torn knee cartilage, ruptured discs, and severe burns.
  • Medical Services and Treatments: such as ambulance, emergency care, therapy services, medical testing (including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans), medical appliances, and certain types of surgeries.
  • Hospitalization: such as hospital admission, confinement, and inpatient rehab after an accident.
  • Additional Benefits: such as accidental death, dismemberment, loss, paralysis, supplemental benefit for lodging.

For a complete list and additional details, you must read the applicable policy documents when you sign up.
